Lockdowns, Shutdowns To Final Countdown ?

A hook, an uppercut & a head butt,

It knocked the world down.

An invisible tiny virus

Enters the lungs & shuts it down.

Wuhan, Rome, Paris, New York,

No way out but to surrender. 

And what a joke? In the twenty-first century,

We are hopeless & hands up.

Masked humans, sanitization aids

Is the visual of every town.

The best creature is shielding himself

With lockdowns & shutdowns.

Heavyweights like America & Italy

Are attacked brutally,

The world order is jumbled up

Socially & fiscally.

Top-ranked hospitals 

Fell short of ventilators.

Heaps of dead bodies on streets

Without kith & kin to mourn over.

Now "be positive" means 

To stay negative,

That is, negating the negative

Is to let in positive.

When positive yields loss,

Negative delivers gain,

Boosting immunity is the way out

To remain in the game

Community reduced to family,

Family reduced to individual.

A phase like never before

When socializing is unsocial.

Every human activity

Came to a standstill,

Life in nature 

Has been instilled

Nature got respite 

From the corroding pollution,

Healed & repaired itself,

Isn't that awesome?

Animals & birds are exempted

From the covid hit list.

Probably they never troubled the nature

Nor put it at risk.

It's high time to learn

From these lock & shutdowns,

Or else we will run into the risk

Of a final countdown.

Many of us are still alive,

Thanks to police, medics & medicine.

We are winning & we will win,

Soon will come a magic vaccine.
