Loneliness
Loneliness
Loneliness is a constant companion,
A shadow that follows wherever I roam,
An emptiness that can't be filled,
A silence that drowns out every tone.
In a crowded room, I'm all alone,
No one to talk to, no one to hold,
The noise around me, just background sound,
As I navigate the world, feeling cold.
My thoughts are my only company,
A refuge from the pain of being alone,
But they too can turn against me,
As my mind becomes a treacherous zone.
The nights are the worst, in my solitude,
When darkness descends and the world's at rest,
The emptiness swells, and the silence grows,
And I wonder if I'll ever feel my best.
But I know that I'm not truly alone,
For the universe is with me, and the stars above,
And though I may feel lost in the crowd,
I'm a part of something greater, filled with love.
So I'll embrace my loneliness, and face it head-on,
For it's a reminder that I'm alive and strong,
And though it may be a painful reality,
It's a chance to grow, to love, and to belong.
