Loose Ends

Loose Ends

The stranger held her hand,

As if they were grains of sand.

The tighter he held,

The further she moved away.

Towards her destination,

Without procrastination,

It was getting too late!

The day they had first met,

He had cutely said a ‘Hi’!

She was in pain…

All she could do was sigh.

And then she went away,

To forget her past - grey.

Never wanting to return back.

But she did.

One day as a matter of chance

She met the stranger on the way.

They were at a crossroad,

Life did not have a dead end.

Then moving past the green park,

She went back home weary

of witnessing destiny's dance.

She felt blessed to find a friend

in despair, Nothing could replace it ever.

"You can earn money, dear!",

But I wish you could be a bit clever

And see that it is all fear,

It is still not the end. Turn back,

You have things to tend.

The heart will always take care,

It is you who need to dare.

Everything will be lost one day,

But there is one thing for which I pray,

That the path on which she has to walk,

Is the one that's truly for her,

Else, she is better off, alone.

To the stranger she then said,

"Life is random, On the go...

Not everything makes sense!

Not always can you tie loose ends.

That some places and people give you a feeling

Of coming back home…

And that is worthwhile. Just that!"

So, take some time,

And try to rhyme

An ode as I did

For a stranger,

Else you would never know,

There would be a day,

That your true love would be in danger!
