Marriage
Marriage
A piece of paper,
A row of letters,
The desires or whims,
The verses or hymns,
Are these enough to make or break
A sacred relation ?
Can they just change
The patterns and connection ?
Marriage is not a concept
Of the analytical mind,
It is that feeling of oneness
no one can unwind.
The unison of two hearts
With full acceptance,
A will made by God
With no feasible resistance.
A piece of paper,
A row of signatures,
Few coated words
And the law that accords
Are these enough to mend or rend
The sacred creation ?
Can they just change the name
From marriage to separation ?
Marriage is not just a knot
that can be tied or untied,
It is rather a heavenly blessing
With every ebb and tide.
A simple equation of rights and duties
Which tests one's patience,
The more you have, the deeper you feel
The ethereal essence.
