And It's An Ode
And It's An Ode
Is it loneliness?
Or lack of attention?
May be motherhood blues,
Also lock down depression
Is it the lost sense of security?
Or lost feeling of financial independence?
May be since she had to give up her job,
Also give up her time and sleep
She did try self care,
Pedicured and manicured herself,
Facials and hair spas didn't help,
What on earth is her trouble?
She could never comprehend,
The innumerable happenings around her,
Why is life so complicated?
Why can't it stay simple and sane?
Why should she always stay responsible?
Is there a need to be alert endlessly?
Why are others making all her decisions?
Why does she feel sad while having it all?
All these questions are permanently unanswered
She - The woman, eventually learns the reality,
Answer to life's questions lies within oneself,
How could she try to find answers elsewhere?
One fine day the realisation dawns,
She carries on with life, one day at a time,
Nothing changes if nothing changes,
She learns this bittersweet truth the hard way!
