Masks In Monsoon
Masks In Monsoon
I saw men and women in some standing
In masks clean and fresh
Cabins mint on engined wheels
In warm comfort and pride
Lockdown sounds vacation
Rain just made them cosier
Monsoons dripping here and there
Seems no halt in near sight
Who may know its time?
Even weather mocks
The feeble - impoverished
Bent on knees
Before so-called justice
I saw a boy tanned and lean
Soaked with a mask
On a gloomy- monsoon midday
Working hard as he can
To unscrew a mammoth wheel
Yielding to his will
As if steel knew hunger
