Me
Me
Let them be ordinary
All the same, inside the box thinkers, popular, wanting to wander
But bound to the rules
I’d rather be a unique, outcast,
Believing in the impossible, like the dreamers
Mind-wandering far, from society
To have seen from other views,
To venture, to feel alive in the dull crowds
That pass by.
To be inspired by the artists that create rather than copy,
Carrying their passion, their inspiration
Beyond the limits set by others and past the non-believers
I’d rather be unknown, and if
Then invisible to everyone
Than to be who I’m not,
Fitting in with the crowd in the place which I do not belong,
Where people are shaped, told, and forced to be the same
By the strict rules of society.
I’d rather be alone, and confined
Than surrounded by “friends”.
If I could be myself, happy and free,
I’d rather be a unique unbound, outcast as me
