Miracle
Miracle
Miracle! Miracle! Is it a form of some magic?
A flying cow, a shoe house, or a fairy very fancy.
Is it simply a plain fantasy,
Or does it have a logic?
Miracle! Miracle! Is it a glorious spectacle?
An evil witch reducing her prey to crackle.
Or is it a goblin dwarf with frequent fits?
No, it’s not a miracle, it’s just a myth.
Miracle! Miracle! We witness it every day,
The first cry of a new-born, the sprouting seeds of life,
The cool breeze, the glorious skies, the grasses gay;
All that adds joy and color to every life.
Miracle! Miracle! A gift of Mother Nature,
A precious possession of every little creature;
Shall I wish that this miracle stays forever?
Yes, I dare, for such a wish is really rare.
