The night pulled in.
The dinner was served,
The bed was lain.
Then the tale began.
That is the strangest tale,
No one shall to you tell.
The creature came without its tail,
It's humming had something to tell.
Inside the mosquito net,
Were only it and me.
It went on humming,
And humming and humming.
The hardest struggle then began,
The greatest show had begun.
It struggled for life and I for peace,
It went on humming and I went on clapping.
Effort never goes waste,
Sweet fruit does not come in haste.
Finally, my clap gave results,
It was now dead and I lay on my bed.
It rested forever and I till the next day.
