He or she doesn't define who you are,

Nothing as beautiful as you I find on par,

I would say our journey began together,

For the day you gave birth to me you became my mother.

You chose to lead the way,

The destination unknown by the way.

But the journey is all that mattered,

With so many emotions splattered.

The journey was ours,

The struggle was yours.

A destination we reached,

All the obstacles you breached.

In all my imperfections,

You somehow found satisfaction.

Through all of your actions,

You taught me compassion.

Earning or not,

You are always working.

Yearning for your love,
