Motherland
Motherland
This country is my pride!
This soil is gold to me!
My thousand desires, thousands of delights are blooming here as I strive for liberation.
India's prayer, which honours the country's freedom goddess, will be performed today with much affection;
Democratic Indians sing Jana-Gana-Mana at any special occasion, whether at home or in combat.
Himalaya is the faith of the people,
The people's mind of India is the Ganges.
This is a farmer's land,
It is the land of holy sacrifices.
It is the land of Indians' desires that shape human history.
Today the tricolor hoists with its full glory!
We got freedom from the sacrifice of brave martyrs—
Gandhi, Tilak, Subhash, and Bhagat all admire this country, which preaches live and let live.
The Himalayas stood as a sentinel at her north gate,
Indian Ocean is special for her in the south.
We have got so much affection from our motherland, that this world is smaller than the shadow of her lap.
