My Better Half

I call her better half, but in reality, she's my best friend, rather better half .....

I met her a decade ago, caught in her laughter, in the life graph

Got so close to her that sometimes I used to wonder about my gender

Coz we had to play husband and wife in one of the theater

I lost myself to her beautiful eyes that were captivating

Enough to sail through life's ups and downs without drowning

All bright things have a darker shade to it, likewise,

She had to leave me and move further to fulfill the dream of her choice...

There I stood all alone, watching her from far became a habit

Unaware of all this, she moved forward in life like a bunny rabbit.....

The warmth and love burning in my heart still

I do not know if it's the same on the other side still...

Wishing her the best of everything, because I know she will succeed

Irrespective of my being there for her

I wish her happiness that does not recede

May God bless, not only my better half but also the sober half!!!!
