My Epitaph
My Epitaph
In suede shoes and swanky suit,
Tapping iMac dutifully
Churning out many fancy charts,
Winning claps and kudos notes.
Life glides in the corporate world
Where power and title seducing.
Monthly slips get fat and fatter
Getting trapped in the comfort zone.
Never realized what I missed;
Passions, dreams and true love.
Now, time to stack them in my box
And take it to my resting place,
Where you will see an epitaph:
‘Here rests a man of wealth
Who forgot to live while he was alive.
Holding raw dreams to his chest,
Shedding tears under 6 feet down.’
