My First Poem

One day, just playing with

One piece of plain paper 

And the pen,

I got an offer to compose 

A poem in Hindi (for a magazine that I could never see)

Being a student of Class IV,

While staying at my (maternal) Grandmother Smt. Aparna Bhowmick's House

Located at Sahitya Rathi Bezbaruah Road, Rangapara...

The poem was titled "Daku Aya..."(The Dacoit Came)... And I wrote it

With full concentration and 

Engaging myself deeply in thought...

The words were : "Daku aya! Daku aya!

Saath mein leke Chaku aya..."

And so forth (that I don't remember now)!

But it was my first poem...

A short poem.

Today whatever I am

As a poet and a writer

Is only because of my First Inspiration

To compose a poem for a magazine

Unknown to me till date...

But I came to know about it afterwards

When 'that' magazine got published.

But I could not even

See it through my eyes!

I still regret about it...!!!
