Reading Amanda Gorman

Knowing not who is Amanda Gorman

Knowing not a woman of 22 years old

I started reading 'The Hill We Climb'.

Before that I read Maya Angelou's

' On The Pulse of Morning '

Before that Frost's ' The Gift Outright'

And in between these poems

I read the revolt of Allen Ginsberg's '

Go fuxx yourself with your atom bomb',

Not a writing on inauguration.

I could touch Gorman as much

As I went through the hill, in words

 Of Amanda, bridges.

O Amanda, why not bridges

You mentioned as ones of the whole world

Yes I want to deduce like Frost

You want to see the world in a grain

As good and bad equally

The past of the whole world.

I could touch well enough Amanda's bridges

Truly the rhetorics the alliteration

Of Amanda are smooth like Yeats

 Even keeping the rap

And hip hop style

Of the present generation.

Here to be noted I am not describing

Amanda's works

Nor praising or criticising

I only want to touch Gorman

I only make bridges unlike Amanda

 And like hers.

O Amanda, congratulate on

When even being a woman of 22

You can pronounce, ' breath

From my bronze- pounded chest '.

I feel proud of you and I want to be

Proud more

Thinking you will make bridges

For the whole world

In your next pronounce in poems

As you know; from yours also

Can I know 'wounded world', 'wondrous one'!

Dear Amanda

When days will come

You and I will launch a journey

On an identical boat and will say :

Before being an American be man

Before inauguration of a president

Make inauguration of humanity.
