My Lost Aeroplane
My Lost Aeroplane
My Lost Aeroplane
A toy I clearly remember
But a toy that I no longer posses.
An aeroplane with a key,
Which could fly high above me.
I was so young that I can barely remember,
The colour it displayed, yellow or white,
I remember playing with it all day and night.
At my granny's place,
Outside the main door,
On those stairs,
With cousins, uncles and aunts around,
I turned the key and it set high above
I could see it no longer.
Maybe it was above the sunshade of that door,
Stuck somewhere but found no more.
I miss that plane,
My aeroplane of dreams,
Lost somewhere where it should have been found.
But it no more came back,
No one even bought me another one,
Maybe it loved me less than I could remember!
