My Lucky Charm
My Lucky Charm
When you are around, everything looks perfect
Everything comes easy in life.
You are my first love
You are my lucky charm.
When you first put your fingers in my hand,
Made me walk through.
Hold in your arms when failed
And celebrated my wins.
I know you are the only one, The man of my life.
You are my lucky charm.
As I grew old, I walk alone,
I realized the path ended soon.
Not long enough to hold my hands.
You were sinking before me
And I couldn’t do anything.
Never knew my life without you
Will be aimless and worthless.
I want you to know, it hurts,
You are not with me anymore.
How much I fought, how much I argued,
I loved you the most.
Just one last chance, I wish could turn time back.
I could hug you, I could hold you tight
And never let you go.
You were my lucky charm.
I don’t know to walk alone.
Loneliness and void fill my days.
You taught me to be strong,
But I’m letting you down.
I can never be strong enough, am losing me.
Wish I would have not fought and argued.
Forgive me please, I’m fighting with self alone.
I sit here and ponder how much I need to talk you,
When I fail each day.
My life is no more perfect.
I lost my lucky charm “My PAPA”
In the life of everyone there is something unsaid
And I have countless to say.
A handsome personified with sophistication.
An epitome of knowledge and love.
My home still a library of books
And I still search you in them.
Working till his last breath,
Noting his deteriorating health details
With his shaky hands in small little diary under his pillow,
Not giving up despite knowing it’s a 20-20 game
And he is losing, I remember it all.
I wasted all these years in wait of someone
Who could lift me, love me selflessly as you did.
Someone who accepts me with all the mess I am.
No one could mirror you as no one could be you.
I want my life to be same as if you are around.
I still want to dream every morning,
Smile throughout day and sleep at peace in night.
I search my lucky charm.
