My Mother And Her Clock

My mother loves her clock

She sees me growing with each tick

She wakes up before the sun says hello to the world

And waits for the first ray to touch my face

Waking me, and hustles around the house

And gets me ready for the school

With a lovely smile, she bids me bye for school

With me off to school, she is not free for a moment

Working tirelessly from my meals to activities to the bed

She goes on and on and on, as does her clock

After the school, her affectionate hugs greet me 

As if I was gone for ages and she had missed me so

The hugs make me as fresh as ever 

With all my tiredness vanishing in her laughter

My mother loves her clock

With her clock she warrants I stay on track

Each hour on her clock measures my progress

Her values inspire me to be a gentleman

Her only desire for me is to be a winner all the way

She happily struggles each moment to make my dreams come true

She dreams of my success, my health and my happiness

Her clock is all about me, my progress and my dreams

My mother loves me 

And she loves her clock!!
