Till Then...

Happy and satisfied with self

I tread the path of peace

Know that they are listening

They are observing

And that they are ignoring

The ones they loved once

They are blind-folded

By the enchanting words

By the bright dreams

They are deafened

By the happy laughter

By the loud music

They are lost

In their thoughts

Whims and fancies

Away from some facts

I shall wait

For them to realize

What they believe today

Is not what is true

What they see today

Is just a mirage

There is a depth

That they fail to see

I shall welcome them

When they turn around

And take the first step

I shall walk ten miles

To meet them again

With a happy heart

I shall smile again

With some hesitation initially

I shall keep the faith forever

And remain hopeful of their return

Till then

I tread the path of peace

Happy and satisfied

That they know their best

And are the best judges too

That they realize what they lost

That they feel the void too

Till then

I will let my inner peace

Be the guiding star

Giving me the power

And the inspiration to walk ahead

While keeping me calm
