My Peaceful Place

The lawn in my backyard is the best place to stay;

This is where I would sit all day.

The dew on the leaves and the cool breeze;

The fragrance of flowers and the trees;

The chirping of birds and humming of bees.

It was the best place to pursue my hobbies;

And to play with my doggies.

At night there would be beautiful peace;

With glow-worms shining like Golden Fleece.

I used it for recreation in my childhood days;

But now my purposes have raised.

Now I use it for meditation;

As it saves me from disturbance and irritation.

With the increasing level of noise;

This is the only place where I can hear my own voice!!

I go here when I am burdened or excessively stressed;

A session here makes me feel relaxed and caressed.

Truly!! The lawn in my backyard is the best place to stay;

I can still sit there all day.
