MY PICTURESQUE VILLAGE

This vacation, I went to my village

It seemed as if many animals are freed from cage.

There were many activities for us to engage

The true traditions reflect our heritage

From the lush green environment; liberated from the urban menace

To the mesmerizing water bodies, a tranquil place.

It feels like getting our own serene space,

Delving into the eternal beauty we truly embrace.

Far away from the city clamour

Or the busy roads along with commotion, rather

A site with the least pollution, the threatening matter

The bond of flora and fauna is its glamour!

The rich cultivation, the swaying crops and grass

We want the cool breezy winds to pass.

Roads untarred; animals on the way; debris to amass

Still we keep going on with bumpy rides, until the lanes reach to an impasse.

Enumerable huts are small, but large enough to accommodate joint families

They stand together always despite any difficulties.

Elders always being there to support and guide you to face the realities

The children brimming with joy, to let away your sorrow and agonies!

With the resident kids, sitting on a tree

I wonder and look upon my magnificent village; spending time with glee!
