My village scene
My village scene
My village is ten miles to Dhenkanal,
Name is Mandukhura,
It separates me from this world,
When I visit my village.
It is lovely and serene,
With a big pond,
Small Hamlets,
With a Siva temple at the
Gateway of village,
I used to sit one hour
In the temple compund,
That makes me question
About my worth in the world,
That gives me a kind of feelings,
Never be disappointed,
Whatever you get in life
Be happy always,
To refrain from hatred
To human on the grounds of
CASTE, CREED, RELIGION
What a beautiful my village,
I overwhelmed by
The beauty of its street,
The beautiful Cuckoo
In my garden
With the very sweet voice,
It makes me remember
My child life that I had,
How I was simple,
Did not enter into the arena of lie.
Jungle of my village,
Was stretching till Hills,
What a beautiful environment
Was there,
No shortage of Oxygen,
As we feel today due to
Destruction of deep forestry,
And
Establishment of industrial Units,
Around my village.
Everything turns down,
Desperation appears in life,
Everything merges into disaster,
People are abused by people,
In the names of
Reach and poor,
On the grounds of
CASTE, CREED, RELIGION.
What a nastiness has developed,
In the name of development,
Newer than new,
Terrible than terrible,
Disaster comes on both
Natural and Artificial.
What a pleasant life
Under moonlight,
And twinkling stars,
What a thought,
Neither car
Nor bungalow
We were whimsical
Playing games together
We were all brothers and sisters,
Magical and so surreal
The country living ideal!
This is broken in the name of
Development.
People,
Wanting to get more,
There is injustice,
There is distress,
Falsehood, madness,
Impersonality, deception
Have emerged,
Everything has been finished,
Much blood, scream, injustice,
Separation,
All are spread in all regions.
Who will rule whom?
Who will exploit whom?
Will the competition continue like this?
Everything is hided by a smile,
Making a mask of ourselves,
To just fit in this world.
