Mystery Girl

Mystery Girl

2 mins
127

When I first saw her,

I saw her from behind,

And from that moment on,

I longed to see her face,

I was completely entwined.

But every time I sought her out,

She'd slip away like a creature.

I wanted to know her,

To see her eyes, her smile, her lips,

To experience her charm and beauty,

And feel my heart do flips.

Weeks turned into days,

And days turned into months, still no glimpse,

When I finally saw her,

She wore a mask, hiding her face,

Leaving me with thoughts and wonder,

And a longing to embrace.

My heart in a constant thump,

When we finally come in front of each other,

After an exam, she completed first,

But when I appeared, fear took hold,

She ran and hid, desperate to be untold.

Yet, despite the fear, I couldn't ignore,

For that day, I saw her face at last,

And though I had a crush on her,

It was her essence that took hold.

And in her godly beauty, my heart was cast.

My heart started to wrestle to win her for life,

Physically stunning, with a pure soul within,

She became my hope, my reason to stand again.

To live for something greater,

Than the pain that kept killing.

She saves me from myself,

My endless pain and strife,

She's the one who makes my heart come alive.

Every time I see her, I feel my heart disturbs my chest,

Like a stone of love thrown in the pond of died emotions.

I like her for who she is,

And for who she was at that moment,

The mystery girl who captured my heart,

And gave me a reason to own it.

She turned and moved towards the opposite direction of mine,

I don't know what the future holds,

Or where our paths may lead,

Knowing that someday, somehow,

Our paths will cross, without a doubt.

But I know that I'll always treasure,

The mystery of her, indeed.

I waited and saw her going out of my sight,

Slowly slowly she disappeared,

And I was left with the pain and a hope.
