Never Seeing The Seasons Again
Never Seeing The Seasons Again
In Spring they met
In Summer they parted
In Autumn she waited
In Winter, death tore her away
Spring brings home a lamenting man
Summer bears him bittersweet memories
Autumn’s winds break open his heart
And Winter’s gavel strikes him down
Away with Spring, the great romance gone
Brought back to haunt the Summer lanterns
Autumn bears the sweets of a forgotten love
Back to Winter where all that awaits is nought
Yet again there are tidings of spring
Summer fills the halls of an empty shrine
Autumn will calm the burning embers
And the world will be washed blank by Winter’s white
