On Losing A Friend
On Losing A Friend
A friend so close, a friend so dear
Has been taken away from me for sheer
Never had I though my eyes would witness one day
My friend lying on the ground, without a say
I wonder, wonder how is this possible
A sight so bizarre, a sight so surreal
Ahead of my eyes, drowned in tears
A sight that besieged everyone in dismay not so mere
I stood rigid, stiff and still
A sense of melancholy soaked me in itself
Trapping me deeper in a realm of desolation
Piercing needles of lugubrious ness like a biting snake
As I watched the disdain grow darker
I was overwhelmed by thoughts
Taking me to my past
To the days of infinite happiness, unforgettable memories and priceless moments
Why? Why did this have to happen?
The fun, the joy shared together
Have now faded
Blurred.
