One day...

On the rocking chair...

I'll be ruffling through those album pages,

Worn-off, old and dusty...

I'll be watching the times,

The times when we were friends...

The times when you were by my side...

The times when we promised never to leave...

 

Those pages will tell me of times...

When hesitant yet we spoke,

When love was broken for us,

When even though crestfallen... 

We fell in love...

 

Those pages will tell me of the times...

When we promised to stick together till the end,

As we walked down the aisle...

When we promised to be there,

As the calamities hit...

When we promised to fight,

Not with one another but for another...

 

One day,

I'll sit on the same rocking chair,

And admire those times...

And while glance towards you...

You who will be mine till the end...

And just thank the omnipresent,

For that day...
