Searching You
Searching You
I will search for you in mountains and valleys and deserts and oceans deep
I will search in darkness bleak
In the blinding lights and winds and tornados
In forests dense
Where life begins
Where time stops
Where death stays
I will search in the hearts of hearts
I laughter and cries
In the mere concepts of good and evil and places and spaces which emptiness fills
In vacuums in-crowd in desserts and museums
In shady lanes and theatres in palaces and slums
In the place where birds sing the sweetest songs and the place where the good transcends the wrongs
And when after all this I won’t find you,
I stop searching for you.
Alternate end:
And when after all this I am tired I will sit and rest and probably sleep
And then I will wake up and walk again and tread only to find you always there steady and strong
With me walking along.
