Like a wounded warrior I lay

Helpless and defeated

On this battleground of life

My vision is clouded

By the shadows of the pain

And I have become numb

I wait for the God of death

To set me free

Of this misery

As I lay alone and somber

An Angel of God

Break the walls around my heart

And embrace my wounds

This Angel of God

Clasps my hand

And urges me

To fight a little more

Leaning onto this Angel

Like a brave child
