One Step At a Time, They Said

"Where should I go to reach there?" I asked pointing towards the unknown.

"The place, people describe to be as fragrant as the morning dew, as beautiful as the dusky sunset, as serene as a long dream painted in water colours. How do I get there?" I asked again.

"One step at a time." they said, "You'll reach your destination."

My feet hurt with every step I take. I wonder, do others feel the same amount of pain when they step, like me? 

I see others running, sprinting and laughing while I continue to take each step with screaming pain in my ankles.

Will I ever be able to become like them? Will I be able to run too?

The answer I know not of, so I'll continue to take one step at a time like they said.

My feet will have to comply before my heart, the pain will have to fade away before my resolve, as I keep taking one step at a time.
