What’s life like

To be a perfectly perfect perfectionist

People think you are a pessimist

And suggest you see a psychiatrist

I want everything bright

Perfectly filled with light

It’s hard to digest the fact

It always can’t be right!

High standards and expectations

Sleepless nights and self-reflection

Being a perfectionist,

All I strive for is nothing but perfection

Life’s not easy when I am me

I became a precisionist

I became an emotionalist

All this comes with being a perfectionist

Sometimes I’m unsure

If I was born with it

Or is it the pressure

Which is building bit by bit

Pressure from people

Pressure from within

To always be the best

And forget the rest

Not every time can you be at the top

But that doesn’t mean your show was a flop

Give yourself another go

You’ll find yourself with the flow

This has to come from within

From your home to begin

After all, it’s not a sin

That I always want to win
