Have you been running in full throttle,

right from the start?

Listening to those voices boom,

'Run. Run faster than all.'

Have you lost sight of everything

but your goal?

Have you lost sight of the reason

you chose the goal in the first place?

Yes, you have. Haven't you?

Who's to blame you, then

for your empty response, when asked-

what you think life really is, and

how good a job you're doing,

of living it.

Who's to blame you, if you have

trampled numerous grass shoots on your way,

and you don't even remember how many.

Now you sit there, with a blank

expression and claim that-

'That' is the way of the world,

and the flow is too hard to oppose.

And that is how I know, that

you're just looking at the trampled path;

you haven't yet looked at the path,

that's yet to come.

Because when you do, you'll find-

there's no written down map,

there's no path paved for you.

The path you're on

is just the path someone else chose,

and thousands followed, because

they were certain, that

it would bear fruits for them, too.

That is why I ask you

to look around for once,

to break away from this race,

to walk on a path that you 'choose' to embrace.
