Rain
Rain
A change welcomed,
By a city parched,
Raindrops pitter-patter,
The roads full of water,
From the sky strikes lightning,
Instead of selfies' flash lighting,
The thunder from heavens create a noise,
Over the the vehicles' and human voice.
The trees are awash
And the people dash
Rejunuvating everything around
Scenting the playing ground
Here comes the awaited rain
Proving wait was not in vain
Here come the rains,
Filling the city's drains.
Due to corruption in Municipal Corporation
Everyone experiences frustration,
With rains crop up potholes,
Troubling everyone on the whole.
One bounces in any vehicle,
As much as as one in a cycle.
And walkers better be beware,
Lest by splashing vehicles caught unaware.
While it looks like rains are a big pain,
They are actually a welcome gain,
The bodies sore with the summer heat,
Look to rains to the rashes beat,
It helps grow food that we eat,
And helps grow canes sweet,
Never ask the rain to quickly retreat,
Else for life will one regret.
