Rainbows
Rainbows
In the platter of rain and drops
Appeared on the skies the brightest hues
Whilst the sun and clouds played their
Brazen game of hide and seek
And swathe the fading dusk streak.
Rainbows in its mystery each time
Chose to thieve the heart
Even the birds chirped and sang
Pondering to scatter this medley
That smeared the heavens’ art.
Halt to wonder the radiance
Which is creeping slowly
In the mix of playful luminosity
Admire its beauty, soak the brilliance
Till it lasts one more time.
Though the tint of seven shades
Darken as it’s endured yet
Gusty blow of wind burst upon
To cease this charming concert
Of merriment and glee soaring on.
The colors slowly dissolve and dispel
It need not stay
For it has made the mark in heart
To carry the reverie
Forever to recollect.
One will move and catch with next
Fleeting is in nature though
For it will cover up for me and you
So aim to make your mark to stay
Like the rainbow while we fade slowly away.
