Reflecting the Reflection

Reflecting the Reflection

I mirrored a gaze of an unseen sight,

A woman standing long and straight,

Black was her coat with a wavy curl of black in her forehead too,

Fingers interwined to those folded hands,

And those eyes were blue,

Blue or brown I cannot say, but surely they had a tinge,

A tinge of grace and mercy dipped in a whole river of faith and confidence.

She stood there still while those eyes rolled impatiently,

In pursuit of her dreams,

Dreams which she had woven on days long and lonely dark nights.

And lo! She walks, with one of those nonchalant strolls,

Her destination fixed but path to be decided.

Years and ages gone by,

But eyes, those eyes, I cannot take them off from mine,

Resonance of glimpse or of dreams, I cannot say,

But surely I have them conjuring me every moment.

She lives within me and I see through her eyes,

And dream through her mind.

Virtual or real I cannot say,

But surely now, that she is none other than me.
