The Beach

The reminiscent of my deep-rooted visions, of the city of Destiny.

                        The slow rising and falling of waves of the sea, in perfect harmony.

 

                       Reminds me of my youth, longing to leave footprints on sands of time.

                        Craving to build our castles, we were burning as shown by our mime.

 

                         We held the sail of our boats, in the abyss of life, standing astride.

                      Going up and down in a storm, no matter how high or low was the tide.

 

                       But the serenity of the sea and golden sandy beaches, all so sublime.

                          Calmed the hustle and bustle of our feelings of that anxious time.

 

                       The quietness of those sandy beaches touched by waves whispering.

                       Were in contrast to the rocky shores resounding the waves splashing.

 

                   Rarely cyclones came calling, causing catastrophe with winds and waves.

                       We stood silent, those dark tempests, with nature those close shaves.

 

                       Sitting alone or in bunches on those pebbly or sandy shores, gazing.

                    The calm sea, unending and expansive till it met the horizon, all so amazing.

 

                         Inspired us and showed us how open and wide is liveliness ahead.

                          We can make it large and beautiful, like ocean pearls in a thread.
