Religion (Controversial)
Religion (Controversial)
In here you always feel alright
You’re never getting tense
And you cannot make mistakes
And there’s no reason to fight
But your life is someone else’s
No decision is yours to make
Cause some eternal being
Wants you to be perfect.
Most people tag defiance an outrage
But they haven’t seen the opposition
They’re still being held, hostage
By the propounded better option
The beliefs that they’ve cultivated
Have been breached by an ultimatum
That strong cognitive dissonance
That can never be dissipated
No arguments can be settled
Between someone with lies recorded
And someone with truth divulged
Because neither can be persuaded
That the other is perfected.
Would you rather believe in something factless
But deemed correct by the totality,
Or know the truth of what is reality
But be portrayed as tactless?
With promises of life unending
And forever with your family.
It can trap you in its barbed intoning
And crush originality.
Every promise and pledge is the blinding capstone
Of the arch of fiction that is religion.
