Replete Blues and Greens

 Endless echoes of wailing earth

screeching of felling trees

river beds sobbing for lost glory

heaps of plastic adding to the sordid story

In a nutshell ...the above delineate

the saga of ruthlessness and gory

the more greens depleted

the more blues vanish

the more we are put to life risks

perhaps we don't realize

floods,storms and volcanic eruptions

are rejoinders of nature's retaliation

it is time ...we pay heed

hone our greater sense

let us take a pledge on this 'Earth Day'

to value need based life,stay away from excess

else be prepared to face smothering and endgame.
