Ripples of Happiness

Sitting on the rough old stone steps 

edge of her toes tickling the waters

She took a stone from near her

dropped it casually into the river.

She smiled at the wavy ripples

as it spread forming circular patterns

Waking up the still exterior

of the otherwise tranquil river.

Those words how true and wise

on her mind it did wonders

One act of kindness sends ripples

of Happiness in their lives forever.
