Rise Over Gloom

The blazing sun rises up,

There's light all around

But the gloom still ensnares her,

And in it, she is drowned.

She tried to unfurl happiness,

To others she never did any wrong.

Yet she only finds grief,

The road ahead seems so long!

The road full of sorrows and woe,

The road full of thorns.

But she can still walk barefoot,

With a different purpose she was born.

This is her life, her story,

And she knows she's strong.

She'll make a new history,

And show them they were wrong.

Wrong that she's not capable,

Wrong that she's weak.

But oh! The mountain will be conquered,

Let them see me on the peak.
