Sacred Title

You had me in your womb

For almost 275 days

And since then

You've loved me in so many ways.

Soon, you gave birth to me 

And cared for me whenever I cried

And then whenever I used to fall

You stood beside me and always said "atleast you tried".

You were always there for me

Beside me, like a shadow

And funnily, I still find my solace

When I call you and hear your "hello".

You are my best friend

My co-singer, and what not

But, there's no denying that I've loved 

Us even then when we've fought.

There are so many memories of us

Which I will cherish till the end of my days

But what I always wish for is that-

May the end does not ever come for this phase.

Lastly, thank you for being there

Always and being the best "mother"

And let me tell you, no one can ever

Replace this "sacred title" with any other.
