She Girl

Begotten, during the year of 1962, 17th March

on the planet full of unique color spectrum.

She was an innocent soul with big eyes to dream,

saw an airplane at the age of 3,

for her, it became the aim,

Aim to achieve it and feel it.

No name she got, 

as if time is the plot.

'Montu' uttered her mother lovingly,

but the principal rejected it strongly.

Three names served to choose:- "Kalpana, Jyotsna and Sunaina",

'Kalpana' she concluded finally at once,

Imagination was the meaning of beautiful verse.

That selection of name was just a chance,

or the journey of her written in advance.

Indian female not in space,

announced the teacher as an example to place.

Stood up the little Kalpana in a hasty manner,

affirm that the vacant one is in her planner.

Jonathan Livingston (seagull) was her reading,

that's her thing to get motivating.

Seagull say:- “Heaven is not a place, It is a feeling inside you”.

Which became her lifelong view.

By little steps, her journey begins,

In 1994, she was an astronaut brain.

Her cosmos voyage, for the first time,

gave her the chance to climb.

Sensations of her senses lost

because now she enjoys her libation cost.

Cited she:- “You are just your intelligence”,

Which was her thy life the biggest evidence.

16 Jan,2003 next space faring take place,

this moment, she got extra hours to ace.

Now the bond is strong with galaxy dome,

like it was her place known as home.

Her lines echoed from upwards :-

“ When you look at the stars and the galaxy, you feel that you are not just from any particular piece of land, but from the solar system”.

We received it like divine wisdom.

Affirmed she to all the youngsters:-

“ The path from dreams to success does exist”.

For achieving that, you should not resist.

1st Feb, the day has come,

hopeful eyes are waiting for them.

The space shuttle entered the Earth's trajectory,

the 7 souls had made the history.

Every being prayed for a safe landing,

but the only 7 know their life is disbanding.

Caught up by the flames of heat,

finally their voyage got complete.

Parents of Kalpana, stunned by it,

souls of them were not ready to commit.

Screaming and sobbing with heavy ache,

not ready for this kind of wake.

Imagination gone by being an imagination,

suffer and pain faced by the whole nation.

Tributes given to the seven voids,

who glow like the orbital asteroids.

Her beloved wrote a story,

'The edge of time' was the glory.

Father promised to maintain her legacy,

providing education for girl child destiny.

Years may be passed, but not the memories,

she is still alive deep under the centuries.

Night sky full of constellations,

Kalpana circulates the energies of her creations.

Just like Seagull didn't give up,

she is 'She girl' who has her head up.
