She WAS My Everything
She WAS My Everything
She was the light of my life,
The one who made everything right,
The one who gave me strength to strive,
The one for whom I was willing to fight.
Her smile could light up the darkest night,
Her touch could heal the deepest pain,
With her, everything felt just right,
And I knew I'd never be the same.
But now she's gone, and I'm alone,
Lost in memories of what we had,
Wondering where she could have flown,
And why things turned out so bad.
I long to tell her how I feel,
To let her know she's on my mind,
But the thought of it makes me reel,
And I can't seem to find the time.
So I'll keep searching, day and night,
For the one for whom I lived,
The one for whom I was ready to die,
The one for whom my heart still gives.
