Shushed Goodbyes
Shushed Goodbyes
All she found were tear stained cheeks that never rubbed off.
Mornings smeared with forgotten love and shushed goodbyes.
Head full of thoughts and lips that remained shut always with a smile.
Heart shattered into million pieces held up by a body with bones.
Soul full of holes that was given away to everyone except for her.
Love kept her distance.
Melancholy was her shadow.
All she had were words and agony.
And so she wrote.
“Those who understand pain, knows life.”
