Silence

Amidst the storm brewing around

Amidst all that crazy sound

Slowly and steadily it crept in

It was silence that contained chaos within

Stealthily it spread its wings everywhere

Spreading the false sense of numbness in the air

Engulfing everything that came in its way

Looked like the silence was there to stay

Briefly the storm struggled to make its way

Before it was brutally swept away

In a pretentious calm

The silence took everything in it’s deceiving arms

Realisation dawned a little too late

The chaos inside had met its final fate

In the fire that had let out a false warm glow

The silence calmly took its final bow
