Something I'm About to Say
Something I'm About to Say
Delve deep within ancient histories, with ages long passed,
What has happened will be repeated;
The scenes.
The memories.
They're all similar—just different faces in diverse times.
The heartbreaks will be repeated,
The apologies are given in the same tone,
The disappearance will happen all over again,
These things dance around in a never-ending circle.
Which leads me to conclude,
Everything I'm feeling has been felt elsewhere,
Perhaps centuries ago by a person who isn't me,
Perhaps every thought in my head has been uttered.
For that reason, I keep hesitating on something I'm about to say.
What's the need when everything's been said and done. . .
In a lifetime not mine.
