Something Told Me That

Something told me that, 

Leaves were going to fall, 

Something advised me to, 

Grow the trees tall! 

Something explained that, 

Autumn was around the corner, 

Something added that, 

Winter was the next driver! 

Something commanded me to, 

Collect the leaves all brown and red, 

Something ordered me to, 

Make a pretty leaf-bed!

 Something made me understand, 

That Halloween was in, 

Something pushed me to, 

Pray for grandpa’s memories to stay in!

 I collected all the leaves, 

And made a memory book, 

As my grandpa had grown a tree with love,

 The farmer did not want it to be shook! 

I thanked the nature for everything, 

For protecting leaves to cherish the rest,

 Grandpa’s tree is around 4 years old, 

But it has always given its best!
