You don't need trophies, fame, good looks, power, or wealth to be worthy of life,

But you need to strive toward a nobler and better self to make life worthwhile.

If you don't do that, growth stops.

What doesn't grow, doesn't just remain.

It dries, shrinks, and falls

Like a dead leaf, which people crush beneath their feet—

Naming the experience “oddly satisfying.”

You're either branching out or withering;

There is no in between. 

The flower you're not becoming drains your colors,

So despite the world pulling you in some dirt,

Push your way out.

You'll later say, "I rose."

Sour times make you cringe, shake your head, cry,

But they also bring out the edge in you, honey.

Be more.

Be less.

Be under the crown and be above the crown.
