Once I used to be with family,

With everyone around happy and jolly,

Then I met you, who made me happier,

The kids playing around made moments joie de vivre.

Being cosmonauts, they assigned me a mission,

to explore the universe and let them know the observation,

I came to an Earth, very similar to mine,

they lack efficient technology but it's fine.

Now I'm stuck here forever alone,

Waiting to be rescued in time unknown,

While I wait, all I can do,

Is see them at night, and process redo.

Dad's anger is still what I fear!

I see it morning to evening, round the year,

Apologies to him for taking this project

Promise to see him soon as full object.

My heart now lies light years away,

Who yearns to reach me in some way,

I perceive them from the sky,

that lies above me so high.

My sweetheart comes in every night,

to check if I'm alright.

Sometimes, she laughs with the utmost delight,

sometimes, just grins and stands aside.

The children come in after their play,

and, share their fun with me and stay,

We have our supper with the winds,

then I doze off to sleep while they leave.

Sometimes when she is angry with me,

hides herself amidst the depth of night sea,

Rarely are the kids by me too infuriated,

to let me miss them in the solitude of repentance.

Here on Earth, I have a new job,

the new boss sometimes doesn't gives me a night off,

So, all I try is to complete the job,

for then I may get the next night off.

Now may I be allowed to take leave, so a bye.

But remember, it's not a good bye.

I know, this message will take parsecs to reach you,

but even then I'll be eager as today to meet you.
