Spring 's Secret
Spring 's Secret
There were times, in our place,
A bride would come to the dais
Glimmering in gold, coy,
Depart with her chosen boy,
Blessings all around;
The moon reigned above bowers at night,
The koel sang from its happy abode.
The times have changed
And there's no bride;
The girl checks her purse,
Orders online a pizza ,a sandwich
Looks who's now green in tab
Fixes man, fixes date
Goes missing as in nuptial flight;back,
She has the spring's knowledge, known
Only to trees old and new.
Empress of destiny,she happily
Looks into womb for progeny,
Moves on...amid identical ones,
The chain catching delicately up.
