Summer - A Time Of New Dreams
Summer - A Time Of New Dreams
I exited the hall
With tape on my eyes,
Thinking deeply
"Did I remember how blue were the skies?"
My childhood was dark
With no signs of light ;
All I could see was black
with my conscience holding me tight.
This 16th birthday of mine
I was headed with a surprise,
A surprise that arose a hope
A surprise that tried it's best
To cater to the very lost
Ecstasies of my life.
As I removed off the white tape,
A bright ray of new dreams
Fell into my eyes;
Making me say
"Even though I had completely forgotten,
Now I can see
How bright are the skies!"
Indeed it was
The most beautiful summer
One did ever saw,
As it became the very first summer
That my blurry eyes saw.
Like an amateur artist,
Looking at his art;
I looked at the sky
The yearning of a new start.
I still remember
All crystal clear
As my felicitous feet
Entered the seashore;
I was left in awe
As I took a glimpse of
The beauty of the wavy dress
That the sea wore.
I looked at the sun
It shinned so bright;
And I sooked the heat
With my utmost delight.
It was in one of my wildest dreams
To see again;
I almost had forgotten,
What was life
Without my cane.
Gratitude is a small word
To appreciate the condolent soul,
Who donated me her eyes
And made my happiness her goal;
True it is
A mother is a divine soul,
Mine for sure
Very well played her role!
